Pauline Trevelyan

The artist is better known as a painter. She illustrated this family songbook in Dame Florence Bells's Lillibulero, published in 1934. She writes that, although the book is intended for all the family,"Quite little children can learn to sing before they can read either words or music. For them, and for older children, it is a delight to have a picture by which to identify a favourite song..."

Each illustration spans two pages , making 5 x 44cms in all.
