Ethel Wright (1866-1939), born in London and, on Solomon J.Solomon's advice, studied at Julian's in Paris. She is also known as Mrs. Ethel Barclay. The photograph of her studio reflects her trade as a portraitist as well as the production of fancy works.The centre image is in the Oldham Art Gallery.
