Here again I have used red for this illustration, to emphasise movement together with dynamic, explosive angles that go in all directions in the composition.
The two keys represented in this illustration, just in front of the model train, were the keys to my office at Brighton University and my studio at home.
They were drawn as an insurance against loss, since I was always mislaying them.
I did lose my studio key on one occasion but soon realised that the only copies of the book were in the actual studio itself – so I couldn’t get in.
However, I recalled giving a copy of the book to a neighbour for her 50th birthday.
She lent me her copy and thus I went to a locksmith with the book and showed him the illustration and he promptly provided me with a new key and it worked.
