The Postcard is the natural vehicle for the display of many of these ridiculous features. Many successful Monuments become instant repositories for events and people. Perhaps because of their over-complication, their ineptitude, the sheer effort of trying too hard, other monuments fail, and remain as embarassing lumps in the ground, too easily forgotten by the world, or simple mnemonics in the landscape, points of location.
