The Burian world of pre-history is one of great violence and intemperate behaviour. There is time to rend and devour, but none for reflection and the finer habits. If there were any justice, only the Mastonodonorous a bashful blend of salamander and crocodile, would be saved the inevitable environmental cataclysm. The reconstructed landscape are of course superb as visualisations if not as potential holiday destinations.
