I always felt this was an oblique reference to Willem de Kooning but perhaps not. The domestic scene where he throws paint brushes at a heart shaped dartboard is so bizarre as to beggar description. What is the Kid doing? and why hasn't he got paint on his hands? Why is everybody so pleased? He was always on a high that Dutch Boy...He has that smile where his dental work is in a band, as if he has somehow avoided individual teeth.
