ROW ONE Artist: Unknown Title: Los Poderosos del Cielo Date: Uncertain, 1953 or 1970 - probably 1970 Medium: Linoleum cut in black. Edition: Unknown Inscriptions/Annotations: In block at LL "TGP." Reference: None known. Description:A promotional poster for a theater performance. All of the text appears to have been cut in the block. The abstract image has vorticist qualities suggestive of a early date but such an image would probably not have been acceptable to the TGP critique group before 1960.Additionally the lettering work is a bit sloppy, suggesting a later date. A perpetual calendar suggests the year 1970 for a performance on Saturday, July 11th. Prignitz records no posters after 1966.
